There are many ethical dilemmas that criminal justices professionals face when it comes to domestic violence. Lawyers, police officers, district attorneys and judges face many different, and sometimes difficult, decisions pertaining to the safety and welfare of women, children, and men. The choices made can help in some instances and harm the victims in other instances. Training of professionals is important and relevant when protecting and serving victims of domestic violence.
There is an annual Domestic and Sexual Violence and Stalking Conference held each year and many more held like these to educate individuals of various backgrounds, as well as, people in general.
